Worked Great on my husqvarna lawnmower. No issues with fitment and fixed the mower.
Easy swap
Fit prefect. This is the 2nd starter motor for this rear engine riding lawnmower. The 1st starter had a plastic gear. Lasted for 3 starts, the gear was already worn away. So far the steel gear has held up for the remainder of this season.

Easy replacement. Replaced this myself with the help of a YouTube video on my late 90’s Craftsman mower. The part works perfectly and it cranked right up!
Steel gear for all those who are tired of the B&S plastic gear.
Started lawnmower once. Did not work again. Unfortunately did not install till after return date. Had to order different starter
I bought this starter because it had the steel gear instead of the composite gear on the cheaper replacements. My original starter had the composite gear which broke in half, making it useless.
Was worried because it was so much cheaper than others for sale. No problems. Great quality. Install was no problem. Tractor working just fine now. Came quick, packaged very well.
Giving a solid five-star rating for the time being. I got it hooked up, it spins very well w/high turn speed. Always make sure your part fits compared to the original. The original starter on my Craftsman R100 30“ riding mower was faulty from the get-go, it always hesitated and struggled, even with new and high-capacity batteries. Works like a charm. If something happens I‘ll change the review, but for now, all is well. Always make sure your starter teeth are steel. Never go plastic, ever.

Bolted right up and worked as should. Cheaper than dealer and worked great.
Well built starter. Took no shims, gear alignment perfect. Heavy duty and spins the engine at a much increased rate. Excellent buy and I will always use these starters from now on.15.5hp Briggs on a Craftsman riding mower.

If I knew I had to assemble it I would have bought a rebuilt kit. I had trouble getting spring clip to stay on.

I cannot speak to longevity as I just recently installed this and we are in the winter months here in Indiana so it will be a little while before it starts getting weekly use again. I marked it 3 stars for easy to install only because of the design by Briggs, not the design of the starter. The starter would have been easy to install otherwise.
