The starter bolted onto the 5.0 engine in 2015 Ford F150. The starter cranks fast and has been amazing so far. The issue was the stock power cable has a rubber cap and molded end to keep water/dirt out and this starter had a longer black tang which had to be shortened and a notch filed in it for better fit when nut tightened. It will work without modification but the rubber cap squeezes the socket and makes socket removal or reinsertion difficult. Excellent value and appears very similar to the OEM starter.

Fixed the problem. The starter drive would disengage multiple times trying to start the engine. Now it starts every time and no sound like something being destroyed.

Installed about 10 days ago. Starts every time until this morning when we got nothing. Turns out it was a fuse for the starter. I wonder if it's pulling too much juice? Time will tell. Replaced the fuse this time and we're back on the road for now at least.
